About Us

Lisa Bousted, our company founder and a mother of four children, is passionate about everyone having the opportunity to learn to swim. Lisa set up the first swimschool under the name of Aquarius Swimschool in 2000 teaching swimming to all ages and abilities at our West Buckland Pool.

Over the years the swimschool has gone from strength to strength with the addition of a further 8 pools being added under the BeBe Swimming name. In 2004 Lisa was joined by her husband Ian, a qualified swim teacher. Together, along with their staff of over 20 teachers they have taught in excess of 10,000 children and adults to swim and regularly teach over 1200 swimmers every week.

In 2006, BeBe Leisure was created so that we could offer our customers swimming goods to purchase online. To date we have received orders from all over the world for our products. Teacher training and underwater photography are also offered by BeBe Leisure.

In 2008, Lisa joined forces with Former Olympic Swimmer & World Champion, Karen Pickering mbe to create the Baby Swim Foundation (BSF), a free network for parents, teachers & health professionals where ideas can be shared, explored and developed. The BSF has also created an exciting, evolving baby programme which is currently being taught in swimschools all over the UK including ours.
